OUR AKT CLASSES

Try out all of our Signature Classes

DANCE

Experience this full body, high-energy interval workout guaranteed to make you sweat! This class incorporates short strength intervals and choreographed dance sections. Each step is broken down so you'll have the routine learned by the end of the class.


BANDS

During this class you'll perform sports-based exercises supported by buoyancy and stability from our bands and boxes. This workout targets all planes of motion and will challenge your whole body. Get your heart rate up with this class as it focuses on agility, balance, and total body conditioning. 


TONE

The focus of this class is to burn out every muscle in your body. This workout combines small isolated contractions and full body strength for the most efficient burn. Finish the class with a guided full body recovery for maximum results. 


CIRCUIT

This class provides a complete high intensity interval workout with our AKT touch. We complete several circuits that challenge our body and pack on muscle mass. This is our power class.  Incorporating plyometric full body power exercises, and compound strength movements, it's no wonder this is known as our power class.

Let's answer some questions you may have!

What makes AKT different from other fitness brands?
AKT is quite literally, the least boring workout you'll ever do and our atmosphere is unmatched! Our room has an awesome lighting system, sound system, and disco ball that makes you pumped to sweat, dance, burn, and change in every class. Getting your cardio, stretching, strength, and core workouts in every single class makes us unique! Not only do we have a variety of classes, we also utilize a variety of equipment in every single class. The best part is that our content changes every 3 weeks! So you REALLY won't ever be bored!  This helps keep our bodies constantly looking for something new, and not getting used to the same workout day after day.
I am not a dancer...Is AKT for me?
AKT tends to have this rep that it's a dance workout and that if you hate dancing, then you shouldn't come. This is NOT true! Dance is only a portion of what we offer, and it's definitely not intimidating. You should try out dance if you want good music, and some dance cardio to connect the mind and the body. We break down the dance workout from start to finish, so you'll actually LEARN the dance easily! When you put your mind to the test, you'll realize how amazing our brains are with muscle memory!!

That being said, let's say you really don't want to dance. No worries! We have 3 other Signature Workouts for you to try out: TONE, BANDS or CIRCUIT. That's the beauty of AKT, we have a workout for EVERYONE!
I've never tried AKT before. How should I start and what should I expect?
You're in for some fun! We highly recommend starting with our Free Intro Class! In an Intro Class we'll give you a taste of all 4 class styles in 45 minutes! 

We'll start with BANDS and go through the basics of the BANDS + the BOX (using the box is totally optional and we show modifications throughout the entire class)

Next, we run through 1 round of CIRCUIT, which is our timed interval training class. We'll lead you through 4 workouts, each completed 3 times with variable time and intensity! Starting with 1 minute, 30 seconds and then our power round of 15 seconds.

Then, we get right into TONE and focus on one section of lower body, one section of upper body, followed by a core burn out. 

Lastly, we end the party with DANCE! We'll teach you our basic signature AKT moves that are used in every dance workout, and then we'll end with our "disco ball performance" where we give it everything we got to end an awesome workout!

After this Free Intro Class you'll have a taste of what AKT is all about and you'll have the opportunity to sign up as an official member!
Do I have to have a high fitness level to join AKT?
No high fitness level is necessary! We have members who are just beginning their fitness journey and haven't done any physical exercise in over a year, and we also have members who love to workout everyday. That's the best part with AKT - you can personalize your experience! You make your own schedule to fit what works for you. And in class, our modifications are amazing and will give you the SAME results. 

We always tell our members ``If its not hard, it's not working" and that couldn't be more true. Hard is not a bad thing! In fact, it teaches our bodies that we CAN do it! We have every age, every size, every gender, and when you come to AKT you'll realize that our supportive community welcomes every fitness level with open arms.
